maaps Action Network
The maaps Action Network is a group of concerned citizens interested in supporting special education schools in their goal to provide the highest quality education to students with special needs.
According to state and federal law, special education students who are unable to receive the highly individualized education and related services they require within the public school system, are placed in private special education schools. These schools serve children with disabilities that include autism, severe emotional disturbance, developmental disabilities, deafness, blindness, learning disabilities and multiple handicaps.
The goal of the maaps Action Network is to assemble a group of individuals and professionals who are interested in helping public schools obtain the funding they need to provide the appropriate education and services for every child with a disability.
One of the great benefits of participating in the maaps Action Network is that you become eligible to receive information and articles as they relate to special education issues in Massachusetts and nationally. You will also be kept informed of new developments that affect maaps member schools.
