This web site is for individuals looking to find more information about private day and residential schools approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education under c. 766, which are members of the Massachusetts Association of 766 Approved Private Schools (maaps). Here web viewers will find a listing of members and relevant descriptive information to assist them in placing a student or searching for employment.  It also has direct links to a wide range of information sites and resources.

All web site advertisement must be complete and ready to upload and comply with the
following specifications:

  • Acceptable Formats for Banner Advertising:

Current Advertising Rates
Advertising rates are based on a run of site rotation including the home page. All rates
are per 1,000 page impressions with a minimum order of 10,000 impressions. Banner ads

Please Note:
As a matter of policy, the Massachusetts Association of 766 Approved Private Schools
(maaps) will sell advertising space on maaps.org when the inclusion of advertising does
not interfere with the mission of maaps or violate the following restrictions.

RESTRICTIONS
Advertising space will be sold to individuals, and/or corporations that provide
services and/or sell products, which are related to special education. General
consumer goods and services will be considered on an individual basis.
Advertisements on the following will not be accepted under any circumstances:
non-chapter 766 approved private special education schools, tobacco,
alcoholic beverages, pornographic material, firearms, fund raising activities,
political campaigns
. No advertisements will be placed in violation of existing
maaps policies. Requests for advertising space are accepted at the discretion of
the maaps Executive Director and/or his designee.

All potential advertisements will be reviewed by the maaps Director of
Membership and Marketing for a decision on acceptance. If an advertisement is
approved for placement, an Advertising Contract must be completed and returned
to maaps by the date specified. Full payment must be received at maaps after
approval of the advertisement. No advertisements will run on maaps.org unless
full payment has been received. In addition to any legal remedy the maaps may
pursue, failure to comply with the terms of the contract will result in the
advertiser being excluded from future advertisements with maaps.

Pop-up ads are not permitted.

The appearance of advertising on the maaps.org is neither a guarantee nor an
endorsement by maaps of the product, service, or company or the claims made for the
product in such advertising. Advertiser and agencies assume liability and agree to
indemnify and hold harmless publisher for all content of advertisements printed and
responsibility for any claims arising there from made against the publisher. Advertiser
acknowledges that it has not relied upon any warranties or representations not
incorporated into this agreement.

maaps, in its sole discretion, retains the right to decline any submitted advertisement or
to discontinue posting of any advertisement previously accepted. maaps reserves the
right to not link to or to remove links to other Web sites.
